Donald And Daisy Ducks Cupcakes

Donald Duck actually is a bachelor, Daisy Duck is not his wife but girl friend. I learned about it only recently when I googled for the lady duck, Daisy. I was really excited when I was commissioned for Donald and Daisy Ducks cupcakes. You know, it's my first attempt making their figurines as cupcake toppers.

Donald Duck cupcake, love him not lesser than Mickey Mouse.

Daisy Duck is presented with a bed of roses.

They are happily courting, how sweet!

Chinese Themed Wedding Cake

It's our very first 3-tiered Chinese themed wedding cake.

The top tier is a 5" heart shaped cake decorated with small blossoms of orange, yellow, pink and white colours. Middle tier measures 8" in diameter and hand-drawn with edible food pen. Peonies in pink and Chinese characters which carry the meaning of "love 100 years" were put on, not forgetting the chop of blissfulness......

On the bottom tier, an adorable Chinese couple in red traditional wedding suits was added. The groom is kissing the lovely bride and the groom is holding a heart actually at the back. From this angle of shot, the groom seems shorter than the bride ya? I hope he doesn't mind, hehe......

This shot from the top allows us to view the shapes of the tiers clearly. I was pretty happy with the smoothness and sharp edges of fondant cover I managed to achieve. There are so many wedding cake ideas on my mind now, I wish I could be given more opportunities to make wedding cakes, :)

For the pictures, I should credit the sister of the groom who commissioned us the wedding cake. I finished the cake decoration just minutes before the event, I had no time to take any picture but to ask for the sister's help. It was so kind of her for accomplishing the job well. Thank you, Stephy!

I wish the couple love forever just like the statement that this special wedding cake has made.

3D Longevity Peach Cake For A Mom's Birthday

I call it longevity peach cake this time, direct translate from the Chinese words, 壽桃。After my first attempt, the request of the cake has been good.

This cake is commissioned by a lady for her mom. They returned from Australia after so long and reunite with her grandma. It's her mom's birthday on the first day of 2011. She planned to leave her mom and grandma a wonderful memory with the unique 3D longevity peach cake.

The mom is in pink cheongsam whilst the grandma in red cheongsam. All guys are in white suits. I use the mahjong tiles as a base to put up the birthday wish of longevity because the mom loves to play mahjong.

The mom and the grandma are both smiling sweet, :)

The daughter who ordered the cake from us. She is having her wedding here in Penang. Look at her hubby, how charming is he ya, hehe......

The dad and the brother. Both of them look equally smart in their white suits.

If you like to present your elder one a 3D longevity peach cake too, give me a call ya, :)

Happy New Year and wish you a safe and blessed 2011!
